REAL FOOD / REAL NUMBERS / CLEAR LIMITS

Build a plate. See the actual data.

Add common foods in grams and inspect calculated energy, protein, fiber and more. Use preparation-specific USDA-derived generic records. Historical branded-label snapshots are excluded from gram scaling until serving weights are verified against the manufacturer or packaging.

What’s on your plate?

Choose a food in its stated preparation. Gram amounts refer to that food as described in the record, not a generic food family.

Use the gram weight on the package or a kitchen scale. Match raw, cooked or drained weights to the selected food.

What the sources can tell us

Calculated totals are estimates based on published amounts, not direct measurement of a prepared meal. Missing values stay incomplete.

Don't confuse this with diet advice. Food composition cannot determine a person's health outcomes. Allergies, illness, pregnancy, medication, age and preparation conditions may require individualized professional guidance. The tool cannot know any of those factors. A branded label or generic food composition record may differ from your actual item; check the package when relevant.

Other option: Comparing two labels from products not in our small dataset? Use the manual label comparison to enter what your packages really say.
